Adaptation and updating of the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona reception area, which over time has become outworn and obsolete. Maintaining the original layout, work has been done in favour of a more practical and ergonomic furniture design, with greater storage capacity and versatility to adapt to different activities, such as collecting messages, selling tickets or giving information. In order to reduce the room reverberation, some furniture and walls have been covered with slotted acoustic panels that, apart from improving acoustics, furnish the space and endow character. Hanging continuous thin lamps have been installed and emanate a warm and uniform light throughout the surface.
